First Tuesday at Summa
Artists and Musicians featured in a Hillsboro business every month
As part of my mission of helping artists market their artwork to the outside world, I arrange a new artist to show their work on the walls of Summa Real Estate, 231 E Main St., Hillsboro. What makes this possible is the community spirit of the proprietor, Judith Shortt who kept Artwalk alive if only in her own business, when the city decided to discontinue the local event for the rest of downtown businesses.
This proved to be a wise decision as each Tuesday brings more and more people to see what's new in Hillsboro and to imbibe on the wonderful food art Judith lays out and have a glass of wine. It also gives me an opportunity to shine a light on new artists and choose from the growing list of musicians involved with Influence Musician Guild to entertain at the opening reception every First Tuesday of the month from 6pm -- 8pm. A fun time for all involved!

This reception featured artist Arundhati Kumar with musicians Garry White and Ray on the harmonica. Bobbi Hall (shown with Arundhati) is a strong supporter of the arts in Hillsboro along with Jay Hensleigh, Kara Volz, Bob Rollinger in the photos above.
